Story of JAVA

Story :
In 1991, a team was formed under a canadian computer scientist, James Arthur Gosling to develop software for setup boxes. The programming language that was  developed for this  activity was named as OAK.
In 1995 OAK was renamed as JAVA because the same was already a trademark of Oak Technologies. The team kept  the  name JAVA because they used to drink lot of coffee during that project. Java Island in Indonesia was the first place where Indonesian coffee was produced.           Also they  kept cup and saucer as symbol to java in remembrance of coffee in a cup kept on saucer.
